Bob Stone's Serious Comedy website. He writes and performs corporate comedy using a live animation system and/or puppetry. Extremely cool. Jeffrey Cohen is a brilliant and funny mystery writer. His Aaron Tucker Mysteries are not to be missed. He has also written books on autism (notably Asperger Syndrome) and has a new series of books upcoming - The Comedy Tonight Mysteries from Berkeley Prime Crime. It's not news, it's Drew Curtis' Fark.com where you'll find the weird, wacky and wonderful as well as the downright bizarrest news on the web. My favorite Print On Demand (POD) publisher is at Lulu.com. No upfront fees at all and the quality is there in the books I've had printed so far. They also offer a distribution package (for which they charge a fee of about $100) which includes an ISBN # and global distribution. Take a peek into other people's lives via their deepest, darkest secrets at Postsecret. People mail in postcards that they've created themselves in some artistic way, emblazoned with a few revealing and sometimes heart-wrenching words. A subscription to the Writer' Market Online offers information on publishers and agents for almost all media. From their website, "the Association of Authors' Representatives, Inc. (AAR), a not-for-profit organization of independent literary and dramatic agents." For writers in the film and television media, The Writers Guild Of America, west. A good research site is Wikipedia, a free online encyclopedia that everyone contributes information to, expanding the entries quite a bit in some cases.
